Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rupture Corpse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Long's choice of entrance music: Running with the Devil. Alan Long has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rupture Corpse's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rupture Corpse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alan Long!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A shot to the liver by Long. Beautiful body shot.

Corpse closes the distance and pushes Long back into the cage.
Long wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Corpse escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Long wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Long pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Corpse throws a right and a left that both miss.
Long tries to clinch but Corpse moves out of range.
Long shoots in for a double leg but Corpse sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Corpse blocks a head kick by Long.
Long changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Corpse tries to avoid it but Long manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Corpse to the ground. Corpse escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rupture Corpse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alan Long.
Corpse rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Long moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Corpse circles away from the clinch attempt
and Corpse counters with a two punch combo.
Corpse blocks a head kick by Long.

and Corpse counters with a one-two to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Long shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Long showed some decent athleticism there.
Long wants to stand but Corpse has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Corpse is trying to stand back up but Long is controlling him
Long is trying to control. Corpse wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Long is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Corpse is just riding it out for now. Long eventually gives up the hold.
Corpse is looking to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Corpse breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Long misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Corpse pushes Long up against the cage in a clinch.
Corpse on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Corpse pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Corpse showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Long.
Corpse throws a leg kick but Long sees it coming and moves out of range.
Alan Long seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Long.
Corpse walks into a straight right hand from Long.


It looks like Rupture Corpse has been cut.

and Corpse finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Long shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Corpse as he jumps to the side.

Long tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Corpse paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A left and a right from Corpse both land. Nice combination.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Long throws a lazy right hand but Corpse sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Long has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Corpse.
Long is breathing heavily.
A punch combination from Corpse misses.
Corpse swats away the attempt to clinch by Long.
Long tries to clinch but Corpse is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Long shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Corpse sprawls well. Corpse wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Long gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Rupture Corpse is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Horrible takedown by Long or perhaps it was just good defense by Corpse which made him look bad.

Long using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Corpse has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Corpse escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Long slips a jab and a cross from Corpse.
Corpse looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rupture Corpse showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Corpse, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
