Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawthorne throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Young is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hawthorne moves in looking to clinch but Young pushes him off.
Young shoots in for a takedown but Hawthorne shows good takedown defense.
Hawthorne shoots in looking for a takedown. Young tries to sprawl out of it but Hawthorne keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Young manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hawthorne leaves Young with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Young scores a takedown into full mount!
Young won't let Hawthorne get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
