Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gary McCoy struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 266.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Gary McCoy was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones lands with a straight right. McCoy didn't see that one coming.
McCoy misses the shot to the body.
Gary McCoy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCoy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jones gets back to full guard.
Jones has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Jones wants to sweep here but McCoy controlling him for the moment.
Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jones thows a huge punch but McCoy dodges it nicely.

McCoy pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.
Jones is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jones is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jones seems to be looking for submissions.
McCoy tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Jones decides to stand up.
McCoy shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.
McCoy thows a body shot but no joy.
Jones manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McCoy on his heels. He'll look to pass McCoy's guard now, I'm sure.

Jones pushes down on McCoy's leg and manages to get into half guard.

McCoy is not content to let Jones control the position.

McCoy makes his way to full guard, as Jones worked for a kimura.
Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McCoy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Jones drops back looking for a leg! McCoy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McCoy manages to kick Jones off! Jones jumps back into McCoy's guard.
Jones wants to control from the top but McCoy keeps moving.
Jones advances to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McCoy is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jones trying to mount his opponent but McCoy defends it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
McCoy takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

McCoy throws a poor cross that misses
and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. McCoy didn't expect that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Jones misses with the ground and pound.
Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McCoy, who protects the arm well.
McCoy controls the position for a moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McCoy can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jones cracks McCoy with a big elbow.
Jones tries to score with some ground and pound. McCoy controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Jones is trying to get an arm triangle but McCoy is defending well.

Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

McCoy wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Jones has ideas of his own. He's got hold of McCoy's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! McCoy is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Jones!

Dave Jones very nearly forgot to thank Hellbent amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
