Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Bond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Angry Johnny. Jonathan Jones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Bond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonathan Jones! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bond tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. No luck for Bond with that takedown attempt. Bond closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Jones missing with a left hand there. Bond was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jones gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jones scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like James Bond has been cut. Jones lands an elbow inside that Bond shrugs off. A frustrated look appears on Bond's face as he tries to break the clinch. Jones jumps guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Bond is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control. Bond trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Bond would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jones is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to sweep here but Bond controlling him for the moment. Bond decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jones, up you get! Bond fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Bond. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bond doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jones moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bond tries to stall but Jones uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Jones lands a knee to the head.
Bond is breathing heavily. Jones creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Bond's defenses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A nice glancing elbow lands by Jones. Jones landing knees to the head.
Bond wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jones lands a nice elbow. Bond takes an elbow to the forehead. Jones putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Bond in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bond manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Jones wants to pass the guard but Bond is keeping the position. Bond keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jones throws a big elbow that misses. Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jonathan Jones wasn't active enough on the ground. Jones rushes Bond and presses him up against the cage. Jones lands a nice elbow. Bond takes an elbow to the forehead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Jones creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Bond's defenses.
James Bond's cut is getting worse. Bond takes an elbow to the temple. Jones working the clinch nicely. Bond is working for position but Jones cracks him with a big knee to the head! Bond crumples up against the cage and Jones lands two more shots before the ref can save Bond! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee & Punches). Jonathan Jones! An out of breath Jonathan Jones thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
