Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Werdum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Firco Nowack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fabricio Werdum!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Firco Nowack!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nowack looks to throw the jab but Werdum is out of range.
Nowack misses with a head kick.
Werdum could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nowack tries a head kick but it misses.
Nowack tries to bum rush Werdum with a series of wild strikes but Werdum uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nowack throws a sloppy head kick and Werdum moves out of range easily.
Werdum looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nowack is fending him off so far but Werdum persists. Nope, Nowack circles away and we're back to standing.
Werdum feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Nowack wants to get back to his feet but Werdum is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Werdum decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Nowack tries to clinch but Werdum is having none of it.
Werdum fails with the takedown
and Nowack counters with a nice low kick that buckles Werdum's knee momentarily.
Nowack tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Werdum shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Nowack counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Werdum is lucky that one didn't land flush.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabricio Werdum. That's going to take a lot out of him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Werdum doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Nowack counters with a nice kick to the body.
Werdum is breathing heavily.
Look low, kick high! Nowack uses the oldest trick in the book to send Werdum tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Nowack is absolutely delighted - when Werdum wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
