Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alessandro Nestea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyka comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Remember the Name- Fort Minor kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Yuri Boyka has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Nestea shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Nestea wants to work for an arm triangle but Boyka is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Nestea gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Boyka shoots for a double leg takedown but Nestea sprawls well. He's pushed Boyka's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Boyka is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Boyka has momentary wrist control but Nestea slips an elbow through the middle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Boyka throws his legs up looking for a submission but Nestea uses it to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nestea lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Nestea remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Nestea takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Boyka changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nestea tries to avoid it but Boyka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nestea to the ground. Nestea escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Nestea closes the distance and pushes Boyka back into the cage.

Nestea jumps guard and drags Boyka to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Nestea is trying to hold Boyka in close to prevent damage but Boyka has managed to pass into half guard.
It looks like Boyka is going to stand back up.

Nestea tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nestea has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Boyka has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Nestea is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Boyka.
