Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ippo Makunouchi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deloris Bookake!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Makunouchi counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Makunouchi.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Makunouchi wants to control from the top but Bookake keeps moving.
Bookake preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Makunouchi is looking to work some ground and pound but Bookake has wrist control.
Makunouchi throws an elbow that misses. Bookake uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Makunouchi's guard. Nice move by Bookake!
Bookake won't allow Makunouchi to get back to his feet.

Bookake is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Makunouchi wants to stand but Bookake is controlling the position.
Bookake keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Makunouchi's head.
Bookake is working Makunouchi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Bookake lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Bookake passes Makunouchi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Makunouchi seems to have got his legs back now.

Makunouchi is staying active underneath Bookake, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Bookake seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Makunouchi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Makunouchi tries to get out of the position.
Bookake prevents Makunouchi from standing back up.
Bookake wants to control but Makunouchi is keeping him busy.

Bookake looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Bookake working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Bookake looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Makunouchi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bookake is keen to just control but Makunouchi is a slippery customer.
Bookake passes the guard and advances to mount!
Bookake with shots to the head and body - Makunouchi looks very uncomfortable down there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bookake is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Makunouchi can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Bookake! Makunouchi is hurt baaadly! Bookake is firing away with more strikes - Makunouchi is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
