Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Montague (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Pierson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Montague might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to K-Lash-Nekoff - Murder. Brandon Pierson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mickey Montague! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Brandon Pierson! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pierson tries to clinch there but Montague circles away.
Montague just misses with a punch to the body.
Montague throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pierson. A punch combination from Pierson misses. Montague throws a body kick that misses. Pierson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Pierson wants to land a leg kick but Montague is out of range. Montague gets tackled into the cage by Pierson. Pierson maintains the clinch. Montague is looking to break free of the clinch but Pierson has double underhooks. Montague looking to stall.
Montague using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pierson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Montague looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Montague tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Montague is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pierson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Montague to the mat. Montague regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Montague tries to land a sweep but no joy. Montague throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pierson won't allow Montague to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Montague trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Montague has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pierson wants to control from the top but Montague keeps moving. Montague will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Montague had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pierson defends it easily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pierson controlling from the top position. Montague looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pierson is one step ahead there. Pierson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Montague looking to control.

Montague bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pierson's guard. Pierson is pulling down on Montague's head. It's preventing any offense from Montague, at least for the moment. Montague throws a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Montague stands up and waves to Pierson to follow him. Pierson misses with a few strikes there.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Montague is pushing Pierson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Montague lands a damaging elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mickey Montague will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pierson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Pierson postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Montague throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Pierson prevents Montague from getting the reversal. Pierson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Montague is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Pierson cracks Montague with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Pierson breaks from Montague's wrist control and lands an elbow. Pierson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pierson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pierson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Montague is trying to push Pierson away but Pierson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Montague jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pierson walks away with a smile on his face. Montague gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Pierson fails in his attempt to clinch. Pierson tries a low kick but Montague avoids it. Montague throws a head kick but Pierson moves out of range.

A combination from Montague does no damage. Pierson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Montague moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Montague is looking to score with low kicks. Pierson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Montague is out of range and Pierson settles back down. Pierson checks the leg kick nicely there.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Montague enables Pierson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Montague manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. This has been an exciting period of action! Pierson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Montague looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Montague defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pierson. Montague throws a head kick that Pierson semi-blocks.
Pierson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Montague misses with a few strikes there.
Montague wants to clinch up but Pierson keeps it at a distance. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Montague misses with a body kick. Montague gets caught napping as Pierson dives in and scores a takedown. Montague manages to retain guard. Montague looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

In favor of your winner, by majority decision... Mickey Montague! Mickey Montague decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
