Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Donald Anthony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aoki Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Anthony both land. Nice combination.
Anthony misses the shot to the body.

Anthony uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Aoki.

Aoki closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Anthony quickly recovers to half guard.

Aoki wants to free his trapped foot but Anthony is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Anthony's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
