Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards lands with an overhand left.
Figueroa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Edwards pinned against the cage. Edwards gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Edwards tries to clinch up but Figueroa circles away and keeps his distance.
Figueroa finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Edwards throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Figueroa's head.
It looks like Christopher Figueroa has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Figueroa is defended easily by Edwards.
Edwards is looking to slow Figueroa down with leg kicks.

That kick from Edwards tenderised Figueroa's leg. Figueroa is trying to keep his angry face on.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Edwards drives through and clinches with Figueroa against the cage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Edwards really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Figueroa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Edwards connects with a combination that backs up Figueroa into the cage. Edwards lands a flurry of punches that gets past Figueroa's guard. Figueroa is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Edwards bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
