Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rila Kuma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Riley might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Joker and The Thief. Kuma is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Teach me how to Daugie. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pierre Riley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rila Kuma! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kuma tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Riley was well out of range. Poor timing from Kuma. Good exchange - Kuma coming out on top. Kuma throws a push kick but Riley slaps the foot to one side. Kuma gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kuma is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Riley is controlling him. Kuma is controlling Riley's posture. Kuma not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuma keeping moving, preventing Riley from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rila Kuma. Riley connects with the punch. Kuma misses with a combination
and Riley counters with a left to the body. Riley looks to score with a jab to the body but Kuma is just out of range. Kuma rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Riley moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Riley with a lazy takedown attempt and Kuma counters with a series of strikes. Riley will be more careful next time no doubt. Kuma fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuma swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Riley tried to score with a low kick but Kuma checks it. Riley throws a hook to the side of Kuma's head but Kuma sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kuma throws a sloppy body shot
and Riley counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Kuma misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kuma rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Riley moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kuma tries to land a leg kick but Riley saw it coming and moves away.
Kuma lands a nice looking body kick. Riley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuma misses with a wild body shot. Riley shoots and misses and Kuma connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Nice uppercut lands for Riley. That snapped Kuma's head back.
Riley lands an overhand right. Kuma throws a right hand that Riley ducks under and follows up with a left that Riley also avoids with ease. Kuma tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. A combination from Kuma does no damage. Riley has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pierre Riley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kuma moves away. Kuma fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Riley. Kuma looks to score with a jab to the body but Riley is just out of range. Kuma throws a shot to the body.
Rila Kuma is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kuma misses with a double jab.
Riley shoots in looking for a takedown but Kuma manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Riley's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kuma scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Riley throws a leg kick but Kuma checks it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rila Kuma will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Riley uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Riley's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kuma connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Riley scrambles back to his feet. Riley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Riley in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Riley with the ground and pound but Kuma regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Riley not landing any meaningful shots this time. Riley is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuma is trying to maintain the position but Riley is very close to passing his half guard. Riley looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Riley not landing any meaningful shots this time. Riley controlling the action here. Riley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rila Kuma. Riley tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Kuma uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Riley. Riley throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jab, jab by Riley - just one landing. Riley throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kuma connects with a high kick. A leg kick checked by Riley.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice shot lands for Riley. Riley walks into a stiff left hand from Kuma. Kuma dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Riley is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Kuma slips a straight right by Riley. Riley shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kuma napping and manages to drive through into side control! Riley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kuma keeps working. Kuma tries to bench press Riley off him but Riley keeps the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riley is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kuma has escaped the position, nice work there. Kuma can't do much from the bottom here. Riley is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kuma knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Riley looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kuma is avoiding damage well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kuma scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Kuma loads up on a big right hand but Riley slips the punch. Kuma throws a looping overhand right but Riley ducks down to avoid it. Riley throws a leg kick that is checked and Kuma counters with a nice body shot. Kuma lands a slapping body shot.
Riley swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Riley lands with an overhand left. Kuma misses the shot to the body. Riley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kuma moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riley dives in and grabs Kuma's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kuma pushes down on Riley's head and hops out. Kuma catches Riley with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Kuma misses with a looping right. Riley shoots in but no luck this time. Rila Kuma seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kuma swinging wildly here.
Riley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kuma sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Riley somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pierre Riley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kuma is looking to slow Riley down with leg kicks.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Kuma throws a nice outside leg kick. Riley throws a lazy uppercut
and Kuma connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Riley keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kuma. Riley tries for a takedown but Kuma circles away easily and Kuma counters with a nice body kick. Riley scores with the left hand. Kuma knows he should have avoided that one. Riley lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kuma falls off balance throwing a combination
and Riley counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. No luck for Riley with that takedown attempt. Riley misses with a takedown attempt and Kuma counters with a two punch combo. Kuma moves out of range as Riley strikes. Nice body kick from Kuma. Kuma misses with a body shot.
Kuma lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Riley circles away quickly and effectively.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Rila Kuma. I think Kuma has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
