Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shaun Russell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Rockwell!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockwell shoots in for a takedown but Russell shows good takedown defense.
Rockwell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Russell sprawls well. Russell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rockwell gets slowly back to his feet.
Shaun Russell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Russell moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Russell jabs at Rockwell's body.
Russell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Russell staying out of range there.
Russell keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Russell lands a jab to Rockwell's midsection.
Russell moves into range and connects with a jab.
Russell connects with a crisp jab.
Russell lands with a cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rockwell throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Russell scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Russell gets a clinch.
Rockwell wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Russell manages to break the clinch.
Russell is looking to clinch but Rockwell is avoiding it.
Russell connects with a looping right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Russell lands with an overhand left.
Rockwell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Russell sprawls well. Russell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rockwell gets slowly back to his feet.
Shaun Russell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Rockwell.
Russell cracks Rockwell with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Rockwell has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Russell finds it's way round the side to connect with Rockwell's head.
Russell throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Rockwell colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Russell as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Rockwell is left battered and dazed whilst Russell and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shaun Russell!
During a confident post fight interview, Shaun Russell thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
