Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pete Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacques Mehoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniels comes to the cage accompanied by Bridge Burning. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pete Daniels! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacques Mehoff! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Daniels. Mehoff does a little dance to reset his feet. Daniels paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
It looks like Jacques Mehoff has been cut. Jab from Daniels. Mehoff moves forwards but Daniels connects with a nice, crisp jab. Mehoff ducks right into an uppercut from Daniels. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Daniels is defended easily by Mehoff. Mehoff throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Daniels looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Daniels postures up and lands a big shot to Mehoff's brow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Daniels drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mehoff looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mehoff looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mehoff!
That's one minute gone in the round. Daniels gets back to half guard. Daniels makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Daniels tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mehoff swivels and escapes. Daniels tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mehoff sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Daniels somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pete Daniels. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mehoff gets caught napping as Daniels dives in and scores a takedown. Mehoff manages to retain guard. Daniels wants to pass the guard but Mehoff is keeping the position. We're going to have a standup here because Pete Daniels wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Left hook, right uppercut from Mehoff. Daniels clobbers Mehoff with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Daniels scores with a jab to the body. Jab from Daniels. Daniels connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Daniels scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mehoff pushes Daniels off looking to stand but Daniels dives back in and keeps control.

Mehoff moves in looking to clinch but Daniels pushes him off. Daniels throws a jab but it's blocked by Mehoff. Mehoff takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Pete Daniels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice takedown defense from Mehoff. No joy for Daniels on that attempt. Daniels connects with a body shot. Mehoff avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Daniels throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mehoff is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A cross from Daniels lands. Daniels feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mehoffs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Daniels connects with a body shot that sends Mehoff's belly button to the back. Mehoff lands with a nice combination. Daniels backs away looking to recover. Daniels with a hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daniels takes a swing at Mehoff's ribcage but misses. Pete Daniels is winning the standup battle so far. Mehoff keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jab, jab by Daniels - just one landing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Daniels drops his hands momentarily and Mehoff takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Daniels fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mehoff sprawls well initially but Daniels persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Mehoff really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Daniels. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Daniels trying to advance position but Mehoff counters by regaining guard. Daniels stops Mehoff from standing up. Daniels showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Daniels loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Daniels passes Mehoff's left leg - he's now in half guard. Still in half guard, Daniels seems content to control. Daniels wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mehoff keeps working.

Mehoff wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Daniels gets slowly back to his feet. Daniels shoots in for a takedown but Mehoff shows good takedown defense. Mehoff must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mehoff avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Daniels wants to control from the top but Mehoff keeps moving. Daniels lands a couple of decent looking shots. Daniels controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Mehoff working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Daniels. Daniels is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. and Mehoff counters with a good, hard body kick but Daniels shrugs it off.

Mehoff takes a shot right to the bread basket. Mehoff throws a low kick but it's checked well by Daniels. Jacques Mehoff is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mehoff scores with a head kick. Daniels tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Daniels tests Mehoff's chin there with a solid looking shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mehoff misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mehoff is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell?

Daniels tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mehoff swivels and escapes. Daniels connects with a single shot there. Mehoff leaves Daniels with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pete Daniels. That's going to take a lot out of him. A decent looking cross lands there for Daniels.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Daniels throws a body punch but Mehoff moves out of range. Daniels shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mehoff as he avoids it easily. Daniels misses with a shot to the body and Mehoff counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Daniels moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Mehoff on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Mehoff uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Daniels.
Daniels throws a jab when Mehoff was well out of range. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Daniels ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mehoff moves away. Mehoff misses with a body kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Pete Daniels showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Daniels, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
