Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Obsut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elvis Peasly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fedor Obsut!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Elvis Peasly!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Obsut lands.

Peasly scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Peasly is looking to take a break and control but Obsut is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Peasly is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Peasly tries to move into full mount but can't pass Obsut's legs.
Obsut sneaks back into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Peasly might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Obsut kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Peasly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Obsut. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Obsut tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Obsut has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Peasly tries to roll over but Obsut keeps him under control.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Obsut connects with a nice short shot to Peasly's temple.

Obsut is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Peasly tries to roll over but Obsut keeps him under control.
Obsut looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Peasly with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Obsut seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Peasly does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Peasly is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Peasly is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Obsut's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Obsut's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Obsut manages to reverse the position and now he's in Peasly's guard. Nice work there by Obsut.

Obsut thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Obsut has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Obsut is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Peasly trying to keep a closed guard but Obsut is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Peasly shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Obsut but Obsut pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Obsut lands a nice hook to Peasly's body. Peasly takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Obsut lands a lovely overhand right.
Obsut throws a right hand that Peasly ducks under and follows up with a left that Peasly also avoids with ease.
Obsut thuds his right hand into Peasly's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Obsut passes Peasly's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Peasly is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Peasly is pressing down on Obsut's thigh, looking to free his foot. Obsut is holding on for now.

Obsut working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Peasly doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Peasly manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fedor Obsut overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Peasly is fighting to break Obsut's control of his arms but Obsut is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Peasly must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Obsut manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Peasly manages to get himself to full guard.

Peasly is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Obsut is aware though and is defending well.

Obsut connects with a bit shot that sees Peasly covering up! More strikes from Obsut and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Obsut is our winner by TKO!
