Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcin Szajda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pete Wilson! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Wilson as Szajda shoots in. Wilson scores with the left hand. Szajda knows he should have avoided that one. Szajda shoots for a double leg takedown but Wilson sprawls well. He's pushed Szajda's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Szajda throws a head kick but Wilson moves out of range.
Szajda is looking to clinch. Szajda goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Szajda blocks a low kick nicely. Szajda uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wilson. Wilson throws a series of punches but Szajda moves out of range. Wilson is looking to score with low kicks. Wilson misses with an uppercut. Szajda saw that one coming. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Szajda fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wilson avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcin Szajda. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wilson looks to score with a jab to the body but Szajda is just out of range. Wilson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. No luck for Szajda with that takedown attempt. Wilson checks the leg kick nicely there.
A head kick misses from Szajda. Szajda takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Wilson wants to slow Szajda down by chopping away at his legs. Szajda pushes Wilson up against the cage in a clinch. Szajda tries to pull guard but Wilson holds him up against the cage and eventually Szajda drops back down to his feet.

Nice sprawl there from Wilson as Szajda shoots in. Szajda is breathing heavily. Wilson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Szajda circles away quickly and effectively.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilson with a nice cross. This has been an exciting period of action! Wilson walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Szajda drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Wilson swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Szajda's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pete Wilson! Pete Wilson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
