Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Salvador Dimagiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cruz Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Cruz Mendes was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Salvador Dimagiba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cruz Mendes! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Dimagiba does no damage. Dimagiba takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Mendes throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Mendes cracks Dimagiba with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Mendes slaps away a takedown attempt from Dimagiba, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dimagiba changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mendes tries to avoid it but Dimagiba manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mendes to the ground. Mendes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dimagiba looks to land a combination but Mendes avoids it well. No joy there for Dimagiba, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mendes dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dimagiba. That did some damage! Mendes tries to sprawl but Dimagiba drives through with a takedown into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Dimagiba throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Dimagiba with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Mendes blocking the ground and pound attempt from Dimagiba.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dimagiba working over Mendes with some ground and pound. Mendes looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Dimagiba not doing much here.
Dimagiba winds up and cracks Mendes with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Dimagiba thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Dimagiba looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mendes with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Dimagiba seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dimagiba drops an elbow to the side of Mendes's head. Dimagiba perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Dimagiba has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Dimagiba really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dimagiba working Mendes over with strikes.

Dimagiba lands with a punch from half guard. Mendes looks gassed! Dimagiba content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Salvador Dimagiba has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Sloppy strikes from Dimagiba. Those never looked like landing. A jab from Mendes misses. Dimagiba shoots in but Mendes avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Salvador Dimagiba. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dimagiba changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mendes tries to avoid it but Dimagiba manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mendes to the ground. Salvador Dimagiba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck for Dimagiba with that takedown attempt. Mendes throws a low kick, looking for Dimagiba's leg but Dimagiba calmly moves out of range. Dimagiba gets a double leg takedown into Mendes's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mendes can do anything to dispel that myth. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dimagiba scoring with punches to the head and body. Dimagiba will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dimagiba is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Salvador Dimagiba dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Dimagiba fails to land the takedown. The fighters circling - Mendes throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Dimagiba moves forwards but Mendes connects with a nice, crisp jab. Dimagiba is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mendes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Mendes leaves Dimagiba with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Salvador Dimagiba. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dimagiba looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mendes misses with a body shot.
Dimagiba is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mendes's half guard. Dimagiba sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mendes defending well though.

The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Mendes is breathing heavily. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dimagiba lands a nice short elbow.

Mendes is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dimagiba is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Mendes is hurt! He's hurt bad - Dimagiba fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Mendes from any more punishment! Congratulations to Dimagiba! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Salvador Dimagiba! Salvador Dimagiba decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
