Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elf Dark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carson Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Danzig-I'm the One as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dark shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Smith's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Smith keeping moving, preventing Dark from controlling successfully.
Smith wants to stand up but Dark is controlling him.
Dark drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick Dark off! Dark jumps back into Smith's guard.
Dark landing some decent shots from guard.
Smith trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dark. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dark thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Dark drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick Dark off! Dark jumps back into Smith's guard.
Dark trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dark postures up in Smith's guard and throws a big left but Smith blocks it.
Smith has his hands on Dark's head, controlling the position.
Dark has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Smith tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Smith is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Dark wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Elf Dark wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Dark on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Dark cracks Smith with a good jab.
Dark shoots for a takedown but Smith saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Smith lands a head kick. Dark smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Smith scores with a nice head shot.
Dark is breathing heavily.
Smith turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dark takes a kick to the side of the head.
Dark shoots for a double leg takedown but Smith sprawls well. He's pushed Dark's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dark fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elf Dark. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith works Dark's body with a nice hook.
Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Smith is working Dark over against the cage.
Smith lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smith stuns Dark with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Smith, as that shot connected.
Smith lands a slapping body shot.
Dark has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dark there as he acknowledges the shot.
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dark moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Smith throws a good cross that connects.
Smith explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Smith fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dark, pushing him back against the cage.
Smith lands a shoulder strike.
Smith lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Dark backwards.
A right handed body shot lands from Smith.
Smith lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Elf Dark has been cut.
Come on Smith - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Smith lands a left hand.
Smith scores with an uppercut up the middle.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Dark takes a knee right on the jaw!
Smith landing knees to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Smith breaks from the clinch.
Smith lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Smith gets a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Elf Dark's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Smith connects with a body shot that sends Dark's belly button to the back.

Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith closes the distance and clinches.

Smith throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Smith presses Dark against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Dark takes a knee to the side of the body.

Dark on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Smith fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dark, pushing him back against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Smith throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Dark.
Carson Smith seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Smith buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Dark takes a jab right on the kisser.
Smith scores with a kick to the body.
A nice inside leg kick there by Smith. That's going to slow Dark down.
Smith moves into range and clinches up with Dark.
Smith lands a left hand that snaps the head of Dark backwards.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Smith has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Dark takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Elf Dark is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Smith cracks Dark with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Smith connects with a solid leg kick.
Smith throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Dark misses the jab.
Smith scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Dark with a poor takedown
and Smith counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Smith lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Dark tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Smith clinches with his opponent.
Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.

Smith fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smith defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dark.
Smith cracks the inside of Dark's front leg.
Smith clinches with his opponent.
A short body shot lands from Smith as the two fighters clinch.
Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dark shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Smith manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Dark trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom.
Smith wants to stand and escape but Dark is having none of it.
Dark wants to get up but he can't break Smith's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Smith is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith is looking to stand up but Dark isn't so interested in that idea.
Dark postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Dark is working Smith over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Smith feints a jab promting Dark to slip. Smith then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dark slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Dark moves forwards but Smith connects with a nice, crisp jab.
A nice combination there by Smith.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dark.
Smith clinches with his opponent.
Elf Dark has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Smith lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Carson Smith.
I've got Smith winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
