Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Patton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kyle Smith! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and James Ackerman.

Patton gets a clinch.
Patton breaks the clinch.
Smith clinches. Smith dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Smith as Patton tries to tie him up. Smith tries to throw a body punch but Patton avoids it by throwing Smith back against the cage. Patton tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Patton fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Patton manages to break the clinch.
Smith walks into a stiff left hand from Patton.
Patton has closed the distance and engaged Smith in a clinch.
Smith tries to circle away but Patton has him pinned against the cage.

Patton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Patton moves into the clinch successfully.
Smith is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Patton is keeping busy.
Patton decides to pull guard. Smith postures up.
Patton pulls Smith in to control the position. Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Smith looks gassed! Patton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Smith circles away. Patton is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Patton clinches.
Patton pulls guard effortlessly. Patton lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
This has been an exciting period of action! Patton pulls Smith in close to prevent any damage. Patton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Patton looking for a triangle here. Smith is fighting it but it looks tight! Patton pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Smith is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Craig Patton! An out of breath Craig Patton thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
