Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Beast Of The East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beast Of The East could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to John Wayne's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Wayne blocks a head kick by The East.
The East throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Wayne keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wayne.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Wayne. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Horrible takedown by Wayne or perhaps it was just good defense by The East which made him look bad.

Wayne avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

The East gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wayne has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. The East doesn't defend quickly enough and Wayne has managed to lock this one up! Can The East escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Wayne on a fantastic submission victory.
