Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dane Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Sagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Josh Sagan looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dane Castro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Sagan! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castro misses with a head kick.
Castro tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Castro wants to clinch but Sagan slips to the side and Sagan counters with a shoot takedown. Castro fights it but they end up in guard. Sagan is working Castro over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Sagan stops Castro from standing up. Sagan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Sagan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Sagan trying to control but Castro is working from the bottom. Sagan scoring with punches to the head and body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sagan engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Sagan lands a couple of decent looking shots.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sagan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Castro can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sagan controls the pace. Sagan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Castro works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sagan avoids the attempt from Castro to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castro's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Castro is breathing heavily. Sagan wants to finish this one by submission but Castro is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Sagan. Sagan with the ground and pound from mount. Sagan landing strikes from the mount and Castro is in trouble! Sagan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Castro's face.

Sagan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Castro's guard. Sagan stays in close to Castro's body and controls the position. Let's hope that Sagan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sagan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Castro down.

Sagan is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Castro's shoulder. That is not cool. Castro takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Sagan just content to control the position. Sagan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sagan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Castro takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Sagan working the head with strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Castro taking punishment in the form of punches.

Josh Sagan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Castro tries to clinch but Sagan is having none of it. Castro pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. He's persisting with it as Castro sprawls well. Castro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sagan gets slowly back to his feet. Castro shoots in for a takedown but Sagan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Sagan moves into the clinch. Castro tries to pull guard but Sagan won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sagan gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Castro regains guard.
Sagan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Castro not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sagan controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Castro fails to land with a series of punches.
Sagan instigates a clinch. Sagan is looking for a takedown. Sagan is struggling to control the position. Castro goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sagan gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sagan stopping the sweep attempt from Castro. Castro looking to control.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Josh Sagan! After the fight, Josh Sagan was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
