Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stu Gotts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gotts comes into the arena with Godfather Theme blaring out of the sound system. Jackson has chosen NJJD as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stu Gotts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gotts wants to clinch.
Jackson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Gotts throws a nice looking combination but Jackson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Stu Gotts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt - Gotts sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jackson shoots in but no luck this time.
Gotts displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jackson.
Stu Gotts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Jackson.
Gotts swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gotts thows a body shot but no joy.
Gotts is looking to clinch.

Jackson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Jackson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gotts to the mat! Gotts manages to get full guard.
Jackson wants to stand but Gotts has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Jackson misses with a takedown attempt - Gotts sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Gotts connects with a body shot.
Gotts throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jackson fails with a takedown attempt.
Jackson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Gotts lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gotts stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gotts wants it to stay on the feet.
Gotts scores with a nice right hand.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gotts keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gotts scores with the left hand. Jackson knows he should have avoided that one.

Jackson gets a double leg takedown into Gotts's guard.
Jackson looks gassed!
Gotts is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jackson stands up from Gotts's guard - Jackson perhaps looking for a knockout.
Gotts looks to score with a jab to the body but Jackson is just out of range.
Jackson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gotts connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jackson scrambles back to his feet.
A left lands for Gotts.
Gotts is looking to clinch.

Gotts lands a jab to the nose.
The fighters circle momentarily. Gotts darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Gotts fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gotts throws a shot to the body.
Gotts is looking to clinch but Jackson is avoiding it.
Jackson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Gotts sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gotts throws a series of punches but Jackson avoids them all with ease.
Gotts lands a jab to the nose.
Gotts scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Gotts lands a two punch combo.
Gotts is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gotts dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gotts tests Jackson's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Gotts gets caught napping as Jackson dives in and scores a takedown. Gotts manages to retain guard.

Jackson stands up and waves to Gotts to follow him.
Jackson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stu Gotts is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A right-left combo lands from Gotts.
Gotts smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Gotts scores with a sloppy right hand. Jackson should have avoided that one.
Gotts misses with a body shot.
Jackson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gotts will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

so Jackson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Jackson is looking to stand up but Gotts won't let him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stu Gotts dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jackson fails with the takedown.
Gotts throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Jackson shoots in but Gotts avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gotts misses with a wild body shot.

Jackson drives through with a takedown into Gotts's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Gotts is trying to keep Jackson in close.
Gotts has a closed guard, preventing Jackson from standing up.

Jackson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Gotts stuffs the takedown.
Stu Gotts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Jackson.

Gotts catches Jackson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Jackson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Jackson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gotts looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jackson is breathing heavily.
Gotts tries to improve position but can't.

Jackson decides to stand back up. Jackson steps back and let's Gotts get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gotts tries to clinch up.
Gotts cracks Jackson with an open hand slap.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but Gotts shows good takedown defense.

Gotts lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gotts.
Jackson takes one on the chin but seems OK.


Jackson is rocked!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jackson.
Gotts sizes up Jackson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jackson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gotts connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jackson scrambles back to his feet.
Gotts throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gotts tests Jackson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jackson is still on wobbly legs! Can Gotts finish him?
Gotts lands a right hook to the body.
Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gotts avoids it really well and circles away.
Jackson seems to have recovered his senses.
Gotts thuds a left hand into Jackson's body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gotts displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Gotts slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Gotts connects with a body shot that sends Jackson's belly button to the back.
and Gotts counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Jackson! He's just covering up as Gotts starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stu Gotts!
