Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ignatius Reilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Terell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ignatius Reilly! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mason Terell! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reilly tries to work over Terell's front leg with a kick but Terell checks it. Reilly stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like Mason Terell has been cut. Terell throws a jab but it's blocked by Reilly. Terell scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Reilly doesn't seem bothered though. Reilly dodges the punch combination from Terell.
Terell fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Reilly ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Terell moves away. A telegraphed right hand from Terell misses the target. Terell uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Reilly has time to react. Reilly throws a low kick but Terell avoids it. A slapping leg kick lands for Reilly.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Terell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reilly is fending him off so far but Terell persists. Nope, Reilly circles away and we're back to standing. Terell looks to throw the jab but Reilly is out of range. Nice uppercut lands for Terell. That snapped Reilly's head back.

That's one minute gone in the round. Reilly on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. A punch combination from Terell misses. Reilly bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Reilly uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Terell. Terell misses with an uppercut. Reilly saw that one coming. Reilly misses with a leg kick. Reilly throws out a leg kick but Terell moves out of range and Reilly only half commits. Terell cracks Reilly with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Reilly slips a jab from Terell. A looping hook to the body misses from Terell. Reilly does a little dance to reset his feet. Reilly fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Terell manages to avoid it. Reilly connects with a good right hand that stumbles Terell. Terell circles away out of range and recomposes himself. A nice leg kick lands there from Reilly. Terell lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reilly is looking to clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reilly dodges the punch combination from Terell.
Terell throws a hook to the side of Reilly's head but Reilly sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Terell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Terell misses the shot to the body. Reilly blocks a jab. A clash of legs there as Terell blocks the low kick. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Terell. Terell's jab looks to have found its range, popping Reilly under the eye. Terell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Terell not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Terell prevents Reilly from improving his position. Reilly keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Terell content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Terell is looking to take a break and control but Reilly is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Reilly is looking to control Terell's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Reilly avoid being mounted?

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Reilly blocks a jab. Reilly moves away from the strike by Terell. Terell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Terell checks a leg kick nicely. Reilly throws a low kick but Terell avoids it. Reilly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Terell was well out of range. Poor timing from Reilly. Terell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reilly tries to avoid it but Terell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reilly to the ground. Reilly escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Terell clobbers Reilly with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Terell shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Reilly counters with an inside leg kick. Ignatius Reilly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mason Terell. A cross from Terell lands. Reilly slips a straight right by Terell. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Terell swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Terell works over Reilly's head and body with a nice combination. The fighters circling - Terell throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Terell throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Reilly sees it coming and avoids it easily. Reilly throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Terell is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reilly doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Terell. Terell wants to take a breather but Reilly is having none of it.

Reilly steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Terell. Terell might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Terell misses with a right hand and Reilly counters by moving into the clinch. Terell wants to break free but Reilly has control.
Terell changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Reilly fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Terell throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Reilly to regain full guard. Terell trying to control but Reilly is working from the bottom. Terell throws a strike but Reilly rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Reilly avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Terell is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Reilly to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Reilly shrugs it off. Reilly is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Terell tries to control but Reilly wriggling away. Reilly regains half guard. Terell thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Terell is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Terell working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Terell is looking to take a break and control but Reilly is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Terell is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Reilly tries to work over Terell's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Terell wants to get back to striking at distance but Reilly won't allow it.

Reilly is looking to wear down Terell with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Reilly fakes the leg kick and cracks Terell in the body. A good leg kick by Reilly. Terell misses with an uppercut. Reilly saw that one coming.

Terell has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Reilly. Terell on the wrong end of a nice hook. No luck with that takedown attempt from Terell. A good leg kick by Reilly. Reilly lands a front kick. Reilly lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Reilly drives through and clinches with Terell against the cage.
Reilly is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Terell is keeping busy. Reilly pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Mason Terell is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Terell takes a swing at Reilly's ribcage but misses. Reilly scores with a jab. Terell acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Reilly moves in looking to clinch but Terell pushes him off. Terell just misses with a punch to the body.
