Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Woods! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kip Flenderson! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flenderson moves into range and connects with a jab. Woods swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Woods is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Flenderson avoids the body shot from Woods.
Flenderson gets off balance looking for a body kick and Woods counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Flenderson thinking. Flenderson throws a front kick aimed at Woods's knee but Woods avoids it well. Kip Flenderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Flenderson throws a leg kick that is checked and Woods makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Woods on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Flenderson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Flenderson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Flenderson is looking to land body kicks. Woods fails with a takedown attempt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Flenderson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Woods tries to move into range but Flenderson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flenderson misses with a body kick. Flenderson throws a head kick that misses. Flenderson stuffs the takedown. Flenderson lands a jab to the head.

Flenderson throws a leg kick which misses Woods's front leg but catches the back leg as Woods tries to avoid it. Woods throws a hook but Flenderson blocks it. Woods slips under a jab from Flenderson. Flenderson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Woods in his tracks.
It looks like James Woods has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! A chopping leg kick lands by Flenderson. Woods misses with a hook. Flenderson ducked under it nicely. Woods blocks a low kick nicely. Woods throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Flenderson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Woods throws a combination. Flenderson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woods scores with a nice right hand.
The fighters circling - Flenderson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Flenderson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Woods connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Flenderson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Woods.
Nice shot by Woods. Flenderson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Woods. Woods chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Nice takedown defense from Flenderson. No joy for Woods on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Woods. That's going to take a lot out of him. Woods lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Flenderson throws out a loose jab but Woods uses good head movement to avoid it. Woods looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flenderson throws a quick inside leg kick. Flenderson throws a leg kick that misses. Woods throws a poor cross that misses
and Flenderson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A jab from Woods finds it's way through Flenderson's defenses. Woods misses with a few strikes there.
Woods lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Flenderson circles away quickly and effectively. Woods slips under a jab from Flenderson. Woods avoids the head kick by Flenderson.
Woods uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Flenderson has time to react. Flenderson slips a straight right by Woods. A cross from Woods lands. Woods slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Woods fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flenderson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. This has been an exciting period of action! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Flenderson. Woods shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Woods was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Flenderson tries to hold on but Woods pushes him away. Flenderson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Flenderson wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Woods punishing his opponent with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that James Woods will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on James Woods's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Woods throws a leg kick and Flenderson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Woods scores with a jab to the jaw. Flenderson checks a leg kick. Woods throws out a loose jab but Flenderson uses good head movement to avoid it. Woods looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Flenderson lands a nice looking body shot.
Woods loads up on a big right hand but Flenderson slips the punch. Woods blocks the body kick.
Flenderson throws a looping overhand right but Woods ducks down to avoid it. Good shot there by Flenderson. Woods misses with a low kick. Flenderson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Flenderson keeps Woods at a distance using the push kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Flenderson throws a head kick but Woods moves out of range.
Kip Flenderson seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flenderson throws a chopping leg kick but Woods manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Woods walks forward, straight into a front kick from Flenderson. Woods takes one to the side of the head.
Flenderson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
An inside leg kick lands from Flenderson. This has been an exciting period of action! Flenderson scores with a hook to the body. Woods takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Flenderson lands a head shot. Woods fails to land with a series of punches.
Woods blocks the body kick.
Woods is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Flenderson just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Woods has gone limp and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kip Flenderson! A pretty intense looking Kip Flenderson took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
