The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nichols tries to clinch up but Andric circles away and keeps his distance.
Andric drops Nichols with a beautiful combination! Nichols stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Andric is looking for the KO!
Nichols is rocked!
Cage Nichols seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nichols gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Nichols tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Andric is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Nichols buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Nichols!! Nichols is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Andric throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivica Andric!
