Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juan Silva told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phoenix misses with a hook.
Silva swats away the attempt to clinch by Phoenix .
Silva on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Phoenix misses with a few strikes there.
Phoenix is looking to clinch.
Phoenix fails in his attempt to clinch.

Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Phoenix 's waist but Phoenix gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
Phoenix misses with a two punch combination.
Silva walks straight into a right hand from Phoenix - that's dropped him! Phoenix jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Silva from any more punishment! Silva complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
