Roman comes to the cage accompanied by Down with the Sickness - Disturbed. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Mendes has his takedown stuffed
and Roman counters with a head kick.
Roman scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Roman is keen to just control but Mendes is a slippery customer.

Roman gets caught napping as Mendes dives in and scores a takedown. Roman manages to retain guard.

Mendes tries to advance to mount but can't.
Mendes is putting a hurting on Roman here, landing some big shots from side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Roman takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mendes stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Roman keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Roman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mendes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Mendes is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Roman off and has taken his back!
Mendes is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
