Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruno Marx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Snake! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marx misses with a kick to the body.
Marx fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Snake is out of range. Marx will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bruno Marx seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marx cracks the inside of Snake's front leg. Marx throws a combination that misses and Snake connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Marx tries a head kick but it misses.
Marx throws a head kick that misses. Marx throws a nice inside leg kick. Marx pulls out of a head kick attempt.

It looks like Jake Snake has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marx rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Snake moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Snake lands with a nice body punch. Marx is breathing heavily. Marx throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Snake. Marx throws a nice looking combination but Snake bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snake cracks a nice hook into Marx's ribs. Snake works Marx's body with a nice hook. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Marx gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Snake to score an easy takedown into full guard. Snake pushing down on Marx's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Snake working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Snake trying to control the action but Marx is working from the bottom. Still in half guard, Snake seems content to control. Snake lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Marx tries to kick Snake off but Snake keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Snake is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Snake working Marx over with strikes. Snake is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Snake is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Snake slips a nice elbow through Marx's hands, connecting with Marx's forehead. Snake has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Snake controlling the action here. Marx pushes Snake off looking to stand but Snake dives back in and keeps control.
Snake works his way into side control. Marx is working to avoid the ground and pound but Snake connects with a decent elbow. Snake has an Americana. Marx didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Snake is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Snake hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jake Snake! A very excited looking Jake Snake made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
