Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Beauvais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Juan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Travis Beauvais! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Juan! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beauvais looks to score with a jab to the body but Juan is just out of range. Juan throws a series of punches but Beauvais moves out of range. Beauvais closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Beauvais is keen to just control but Juan is a slippery customer. Juan wants to get back to his feet. Juan has one foot on Beauvais's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Beauvais tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Don Juan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Juan throws a right and a left that Beauvais avoids nicely. Juan lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Juan throws a head kick that misses. Juan tries to close the distance and clinch but Beauvais swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Juan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Beauvais pinned against the cage. Beauvais gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Beauvais shoots in for a takedown but Juan shows good takedown defense. Beauvais closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beauvais has Juan pressed against the cage, preventing Juan from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Juan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Beauvais has him pressed against the cage. Beauvais escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Juan tries to clinch up. Juan lands a jab to the head.
It looks like Travis Beauvais has been cut. Beauvais tries to clinch but Juan is having none of it. Juan throws a head kick that misses. Beauvais fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nice sprawl there from Juan as Beauvais shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Travis Beauvais. That's going to take a lot out of him. Beauvais is breathing heavily. Juan is looking to land body kicks. Beauvais closes the distance and clinches. Beauvais keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Juan's efforts to push away. Juan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Juan throws a lazy head kick and Beauvais counters with a shoot takedown. Juan fights it but they end up in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Juan has his foot on Beauvais's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beauvais works his way back into a safe position though. Juan wants to stand but Beauvais is controlling the position. Beauvais throws a big elbow that misses. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Juan can do anything to dispel that myth. Juan is trying to keep Beauvais in close.
Beauvais avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Beauvais is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Juan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Beauvais seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Juan wants to stand but Beauvais is controlling the position. Beauvais is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Travis Beauvais just wasn't active enough. Beauvais shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beauvais sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Beauvais with the ground and pound from mount. Beauvais looking to finish Juan with some ground and pound. This is bad for Juan!
It looks like Don Juan has been cut. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Beauvais trying to control but he's not successful this time. Juan is trying to stand but he's just given Beauvais his back. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Beauvais working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Juan is doing well to defend. Beauvais seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Juan is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Travis Beauvais! Travis Beauvais very nearly forgot to thank Charlie Wang's Nutrition and 95 % Laundry amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name.
