Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mickey MacNamara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Samburgerhio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacNamara comes to the cage accompanied by Ain't no grave by Johnny Cash. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samburgerhio shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches MacNamara napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
MacNamara prevents Samburgerhio from improving position.

MacNamara might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Samburgerhio goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, MacNamara has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Samburgerhio but great work by MacNamara.

MacNamara has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Samburgerhio needs to keep his hands up - MacNamara had a free shot at his head there.
MacNamara scores with a jab.
MacNamara walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Samburgerhio checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Samburgerhio thows a body shot but no joy.
Samburgerhio throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. MacNamara was covering up waiting for the punch and Samburgerhio finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as MacNamara holds on and takes a little breather.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Samburgerhio pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. MacNamara is keeping the position for now.
Samburgerhio trying to control the position from guard on top but MacNamara is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Samburgerhio keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of MacNamara's head.

MacNamara is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
MacNamara's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mickey MacNamara.
MacNamara fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Samburgerhio shoots in for a takedown but MacNamara shows good takedown defense.
Mickey MacNamara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
MacNamara scores with a sloppy right hand. Samburgerhio should have avoided that one.
MacNamara tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Samburgerhio is able to avoid easily.
Samburgerhio shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and MacNamara makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Samburgerhio fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but MacNamara avoids it really well and circles away.
Mickey MacNamara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Samburgerhio.
Samburgerhio uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by MacNamara.
Mickey MacNamara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

MacNamara misses with a wild body shot.
MacNamara throws a hook to the side of Samburgerhio's head but Samburgerhio sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
MacNamara lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Nice takedown defense from MacNamara. No joy for Samburgerhio on that attempt.
Samburgerhio shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with MacNamara but MacNamara pushes him off and we're back to square one.
MacNamara dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
MacNamara thumps Samburgerhio with a low kick.
Samburgerhio takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Samburgerhio looks gassed!
MacNamara throws out a leg kick but Samburgerhio moves out of range and MacNamara only half commits.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
MacNamara swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Samburgerhio closes the distance and clinches up with MacNamara, looking for a takedown. Samburgerhio pushes MacNamara against the cage but MacNamara circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
MacNamara is looking to wear down Samburgerhio with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Samburgerhio walks into a straight right hand from MacNamara.
MacNamara drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Samburgerhio right on the button. Samburgerhio goes down! MacNamara follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! MacNamara gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mickey MacNamara!
In his post fight interview, Mickey MacNamara started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
