The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anello dodges the punch combination from Brown.
Brown swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Anello connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A left and a right from Brown both land. Nice combination.
Anello scores with a body shot.
Brown throws a series of punches but Anello moves out of range.
Brown throws the left hand but Anello avoids the punch easily.
Brown misses with the combination.

Brown lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Anello circles away quickly and effectively.

Anello scores with a punch to the head.
Brown tries to score a power double leg takedown but Anello sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brown somewhat.
A slow jab from Brown misses its intended target.
Brown gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Anello lands a jab to Brown's midsection.
Calogero Anello is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Anello fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Anello does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Brown closes the distance and clinches.
Anello breaks the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Anello digs a good hook to Brown's body.

Brown cracks Anello with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Brown avoids the body shot from Anello.

Anello lands a leg kick that knocks Brown off balance momentarily.
Anello misses with a low kick.

Anello displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brown.

Brown throws a lazy right hand but Anello sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Anello is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Brown had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Anello fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Brown.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Anello.

Brown throws a body punch but Anello moves out of range.

and Anello counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Anello works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Brown throws out a loose jab but Anello uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Anello counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Brown is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Anello lands an uppercut, right on the button! Brown tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Calogero Anello!
A relieved looking Calogero Anello thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
