Brawler is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by "Rock N Roll All Night" By Kiss. Joshua Weiss has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weiss tests Brawler's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Brawler wants to clinch up but Weiss keeps it at a distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brawler sneaks out the side door and pushes Weiss away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Weiss changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brawler looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brawler takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Brawler parries the strikes from Weiss easily there. Weiss is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Brawler to escape.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Weiss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Weiss stands up from Brawler's guard - Weiss perhaps looking for a knockout.

Brawler takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Weiss feints and then cracks Brawler's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Brawler down.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Weiss throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Brawler stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

A lazy left from Weiss finds it's target.
Weiss moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

and Weiss counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Brawler wants to stand and escape but Weiss is having none of it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Brawler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Weiss is stalling here. Brawler is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Weiss seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Brawler has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
