The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stout throws a series of punches but Savage moves out of range.
Stout throws a sloppy head kick and Savage moves out of range easily.
Stout misses with a double jab.
Stout throws a half hearted mid kick.
Savage moves out of range of the body kick.
Savage avoids the head kick by Stout.
Stout throws a head kick that misses.
Savage fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stout sprawls well initially but Savage persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Savage thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stout's head.
Savage in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Stout tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Savage!
