Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Luke Cage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Christopher Wallase! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallase fails in his attempt to clinch. Cage misses with a hook. Nice takedown defense from Cage. No joy for Wallase on that attempt. Wallase slips a jab from Cage. Wallase looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cage is fending him off so far but Wallase persists. Nope, Cage circles away and we're back to standing. Wallase takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Cage tests Wallase's chin there with a solid looking shot. Luke Cage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cage misses with a series of wild punches.

Wallase shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cage but Cage pushes him off and we're back to square one. Luke Cage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Wallase. Cage misses with an uppercut. Wallase saw that one coming. Cage throws a series of punches but Wallase moves out of range. Cage works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Wallase staying out of range there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cage cracks Wallase with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Cage throws a nice looking combination but Wallase bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Cage lands a left and a right that sends Wallase crashing to the canvas! Cage dives into mount looking to finish!
Wallase is rocked! Cage controlling from the full mount. Wallase is still in real trouble! Can Cage finish him? Cage's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Wallase seems to have recovered his senses. Wallase keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Cage sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Cage knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wallase on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallase tries to hold on but Cage pushes him away. Wallase is looking to get to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cage controlling from the full mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Luke Cage just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Cage throws a jab but it's blocked by Wallase. A lazy left from Cage finds it's target. Cage goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Cage is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Wallase hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
