Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Maurer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Ettan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ettan has chosen Enter Sandman- Metallica as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ettan has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lucas Maurer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Ettan!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ettan steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Maurer. That one must have hurt.
Ettan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Maurer throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Maurer throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Maurer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Maurer bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Maurer lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Ettan has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Maurer.
Lucas Maurer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maurer lands a big head kick that sends Ettan tumbling to the mat! Maurer takes a step backwards and waves Ettan back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Ettan is rocked!
Maurer feints a jab and as Ettan dips his head, Maurer unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Ettan right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Ettan falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Maurer smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Lucas Maurer!
