Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stone Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Messinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips slaps away a takedown attempt from Messinger, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Phillips throws a lazy right hand but Messinger sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Messinger throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

and Messinger counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Messinger pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Phillips digs a good body shot into Messinger's ribs.

Phillips rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Messinger moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Messinger fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Phillips sprawls well initially but Messinger persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
