Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Balaur Bondoc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pettis comes to the cage accompanied by UFC - Face the Pain. Bondoc comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Pastor Troy - Vica Versa kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Anthony Pettis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Balaur Bondoc! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pettis fails with the takedown and Bondoc counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Pettis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bondoc counters with a head kick. That will keep Pettis thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Bondoc throws a right and a left that Pettis avoids nicely. Pettis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bondoc was covering up waiting for the punch and Pettis finishes the takedown easily into guard. Pettis tries to free his leg and advance position but Bondoc is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bondoc keeping moving, preventing Pettis from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Anthony Pettis wasn't doing enough on the ground. Pettis misses with a takedown and Bondoc counters with a stiff right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Pettis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pettis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pettis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Pettis is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bondoc has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pettis wants to control the pace but Bondoc is squirming around nicely. Pettis throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Pettis working for a guillotine from mount but Bondoc is in no mood to give up. Pettis is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bondoc has managed to escape the submission attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pettis looking to control but Bondoc is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Pettis avoids the attempt from Bondoc to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pettis pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Pettis is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Pettis extends the arm and Bondoc is forced to tap!
