The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blatantly wants to clinch.
Blatantly looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Blatantly gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Havel to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Havel controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Havel throws a big elbow that misses.
Havel sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Blatantly's guard.
Havel working the head and body with strikes.
It looks like Jacob Blatantly has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Havel stalling.
Blatantly tries to kick Havel off but Havel keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Havel landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Havel lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Havel is controlling the pace.
Havel is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Blatantly!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blatantly is breathing heavily.
Havel with shots to the head and body - Blatantly looks very uncomfortable down there.
