Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Schulz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by ac/dc- war machine. Scott Connor will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, John Schulz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Connor! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Dean Styles and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schulz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Schulz closes the distance and pushes Connor back into the cage. Connor misses with a hook from the clinch. Schulz managing to block the knees to the body from Connor.
Connor is defending well against a takedown attempt. Schulz has Connor pressed against the cage, preventing Connor from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Connor stalling.
Connor throws a punch but it's blocked by Schulz. Connor misses with a punch to the body.
Schulz tries a body shot but Connor blocks it.
Schulz has a couple of punches blocked by Connor.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schulz is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Connor is defending well. Connor makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Connor lands a good knee to the midsection. Schulz won't want to take too many of those. Schulz misses with some punches.
Connor stalls. Schulz turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Schulz manages to end up in side control. Schulz lands an elbow. Connor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schulz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Connor prevents Schulz from improving position. Schulz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Connor can't do much from the bottom here. Schulz landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Schulz throwing strikes but Connor manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Schulz wants to control but Connor postures up. Schulz is not content to let Connor control the position. Check out the look on Connor's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schulz struggling a bit here. Schulz taking a bit of punishment here - Connor scoring with strikes. Schulz is being controlled here. Schulz sneaks back into half guard. Connor trying to control the action but Schulz is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schulz is trying to maintain the position but Connor is very close to passing his half guard. Schulz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Schulz slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Schulz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Connor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Schulz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Connor engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Connor must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Connor throwing strikes from guard but Schulz blocks nicely. Connor scoring with punches to the head and body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Schulz keeping moving, preventing Connor from controlling successfully. Schulz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Connor is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Connor is not content to let Schulz control the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fighters are battling for position here. Connor manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Schulz trying to control the position from guard on top but Connor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that John Schulz will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Connor wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Schulz has him pressed against the cage. Schulz tries to land knees in the clinch but Connor avoids the damage to the body. Schulz goes for a takedown in the clinch but Connor prevents it.

Schulz keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Connor's efforts to push away. Connor tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Schulz's elbow. Connor tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Connor is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Come on Connor - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Connor misses with a punch on the inside.
Connor tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Schulz avoids it. Schulz stalling in the clinch but Connor improves position. Connor blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Schulz. Connor lands on the inside with an uppercut. Connor wants to get back to striking at distance but Schulz won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Connor gets through Schulz's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Connor tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A short right from Connor. Schulz swings wildly with an uppercut but Connor uses good head movement to avoid it. Connor swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Connor blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Connor lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Connor wants to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Connor is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Connor working hard to break the clinch. Connor gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Schulz.
Connor has had enough of the clinch but Schulz keeps him there for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scott Connor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Schulz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Connor.
Schulz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Schulz drops his hands momentarily and Connor takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Schulz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Connor sprawls well initially but Schulz persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Schulz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. John Schulz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Schulz thows a huge punch but Connor dodges it nicely.
Schulz is figuring out what he wants to do next. Schulz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Connor can do anything to dispel that myth. Schulz moves nicely into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schulz wants to take a breather but Connor manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Schulz. Schulz trying to control but Connor is working from the bottom. Schulz is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Connor is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Connor looking to control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Schulz works a leg free and moves into half guard. Schulz trying to control from half guard but Connor is working away. Schulz passes the guard and advances to mount! Connor is desperately trying to improve his position but Schulz has a good base and remains in mount. Schulz looking for a guillotine from mount but Connor is having none of it. Schulz jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Connor is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Connor and Schulz has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Connor is not content to let Schulz control the position. Schulz advances nicely into full mount. Schulz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Connor is looking to escape. Schulz thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
