Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ramon Hoost!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Easier!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoost tries to score a power double leg takedown but Easier sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hoost somewhat.
Hoost takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Hoost looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Easier is fending him off so far but Hoost persists. Nope, Easier circles away and we're back to standing.
Hoost tries for a takedown but Easier sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ramon Hoost. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hoost fails with a takedown attempt.
Hoost shoots in for a double leg but Easier sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Easier leaves Hoost with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hoost sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Easier throws a head kick but Hoost moves out of range.
Easier fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice takedown defense from Easier. No joy for Hoost on that attempt.
Hoost takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hoost is breathing heavily.
Easier misses with a few strikes there.
Hoost shoots in but no luck this time.

Hoost tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Easier swivels and escapes.
Easier misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Hoost scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Easier managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hoost.
Easier avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hoost.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hoost misses with the ground and pound.
The ground and pound from Hoost seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Hoost lands a few punches from side control.
Easier wants to control but Hoost postures up.
Hoost looks up at the clock and then as Easier takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Hoost smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Hoost sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Easier is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hoost cracks Easier with a big right hand but Easier just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hoost landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Easier parries the strikes from Hoost easily there. Hoost is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Easier to escape.
Hoost tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Hoost remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Easier really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hoost. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Easier takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Dan Easier has been cut.

Hoost is working Easier over with some ground and pound from side control.
Hoost in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Hoost cracks Easier with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Hoost immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Easier is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Hoost!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ramon Hoost!
