Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Drwal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pablo Escobar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pablo Escobar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tomasz Drwal!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drwal connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Drwal shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Escobar manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Drwal tries to stand but Escobar is controlling from the bottom.
Drwal wants to control from the top but Escobar keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Escobar had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Drwal defends it easily.
Drwal wants to control from the top but Escobar keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tomasz Drwal was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Drwal is looking to clinch.
Escobar tries to close the distance and clinch but Drwal swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Escobar throws a head kick but Drwal moves out of range.
Drwal takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Drwal drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Drwal decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Escobar, up you get!

Escobar pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Drwal tries to clinch but Escobar moves out of range.
Pablo Escobar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Escobar lands a leg kick that knocks Drwal off balance momentarily.
Drwal is looking to clinch but Escobar is avoiding it.
Escobar uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Drwal has time to react.
Escobar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Drwal manages to avoid it.

Escobar moves into the clinch successfully.
Drwal is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Escobar is defending well.
Drwal lands with a left to the head.
Escobar misses with a punch to the body.

Escobar misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Escobar lands a hook to the side of the head.

Escobar swings wildly with an uppercut but Drwal uses good head movement to avoid it.
Escobar keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Drwal's efforts to push away.

Drwal is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Drwal is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Escobar pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Drwal tries to score a body lock takedown but Escobar shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Pablo Escobar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomasz Drwal.

Escobar throws a punch but it's blocked by Drwal.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Drwal gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Drwal wants to get up but he can't break Escobar's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Escobar wants to sweep but no luck.

Escobar gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Drwal prevents Escobar from improving his position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Pablo Escobar will probably get the nod.

Drwal tries to close the distance and clinch but Escobar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Drwal tries to clinch up but Escobar circles away and keeps his distance.

Escobar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Escobar has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Escobar.
Drwal throws a series of punches but Escobar avoids them all with ease.
Drwal swinging wildly here.
Escobar looks for the body kick but Drwal saw that one coming.
Escobar throws a push kick but Drwal slaps the foot to one side.
Escobar throws the kick towards the body but Drwal avoids it.
Escobar is looking to clinch.
Escobar drops his hands momentarily and Drwal takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
No joy there for Escobar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Drwal misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Escobar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Drwal avoids the head kick by Escobar.
Drwal wants to clinch up but Escobar keeps it at a distance.
Drwal misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Escobar throws a solid leg kick but Drwal takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Escobar.
Drwal changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Escobar tries to avoid it but Drwal manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Escobar to the ground. Escobar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Drwal shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Drwal is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Escobar has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Drwal is looking to defend but Escobar has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Drwal! Escobar pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Drwal taps out and this one is all over!
