Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Forrest Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Val Helksing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Forrest Griffin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Val Helksing! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin misses with a wild combination.
A left and a right from Griffin both land. Nice combination. Griffin has a takedown stuffed. Griffin throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Helksing's head.
Helksing is rocked! Griffin chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Griffin throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Donk. Griffin catches Helksing right on the button with a cross. Helksing is still on wobbly legs! Can Griffin finish him? Griffin misses with a two punch combination.
Helksing seems to have recovered his senses. Griffin scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Griffin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Helksing on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Griffin. Griffin obviously looking to wear him down.

That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Helksing moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Helksing circles away from the clinch attempt.
Griffin misses with a two punch combination.
Helksing fails to land with a series of punches.
Val Helksing is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Helksing looks gassed! Griffin lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Griffin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Griffin tries to close the distance and clinch but Helksing swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Griffin shoots in and bounces Helksing off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Helksing had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Griffin is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Helksing Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Griffin's back instead. Helksing is trying to stick to Griffin's back but Griffin is turning into Helksing. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Helksing's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Griffin. Helksing looking for a guillotine here but Griffin defends easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Helksing is looking for a triangle but Griffin pushes his legs off easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin lands a couple of elbows. Helksing has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Griffin should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Helksing has tightened it up now! Griffin should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
