Adam is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Grateful Deads- Truckin'. Abdullah Zaire has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adam misses with a body kick.
Adam just misses with a punch to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Zaire.
Adam slips a straight right by Zaire.
Adam gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Zaire.
An inside leg kick lands from Zaire.
Adam slips a jab and a cross from Zaire.
Adam misses with a hook
and Zaire counters with a good low kick that Adam was not able to check.
A good leg kick by Zaire.
A slapping leg kick lands for Adam.
Rob Adam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Adam misses with a wild body shot.
Adam misses with a double jab.
Zaire takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Adam ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zaire moves away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zaire throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Adam stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Adam throws out a loose jab but Zaire uses good head movement to avoid it.
Zaire looks to score with a jab to the body but Adam is just out of range.
Adam misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Adam throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Zaire avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Zaire takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Zaire shoots in and gets a takedown into Adam's guard.
Adam controls Zaire momentarily but Zaire frees himself.
Zaire stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Adam swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Zaire prevents Adam from getting back to his feet.
Zaire has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zaire tries to free his leg and advance position but Adam is retaining full guard.
Zaire stands and throws Adam's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Zaire landing a few strikes.

Adam tries to improve position but can't.

Adam is working to avoid the ground and pound but Zaire connects with a decent elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Adam manages to get back to half guard.
Adam on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Adam is looking for a sweep. Zaire is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Zaire is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Adam makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Adam.

Zaire with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Zaire advances to half guard.

Zaire is trying for a kimura here. Adam looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Zaire wins by kimura!
