Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bj Becks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flavio Sandoval (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bj Becks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Flavio Sandoval!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Becks tries to clinch but Sandoval moves out of range.
Sandoval misses with a looping left.
Sandoval misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sandoval fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Becks looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Becks tries to land a front kick but Sandoval steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Becks with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sandoval to score with a decent uppercut.
Becks takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Sandoval misses with a few strikes there.
Becks tries to clinch up but Sandoval circles away and keeps his distance.
Becks is looking to clinch.
Sandoval misses with a wild body shot.
Sandoval swats away the attempt to clinch by Becks.
Becks tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Becks walks into a straight right hand from Sandoval.
Becks closes the distance looking to clinch
and Sandoval counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Becks is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Sandoval connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Flavio Sandoval seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sandoval misses with a left hand

and Becks decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sandoval's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sandoval is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Becks postures up in Sandoval's guard and throws a big left but Sandoval blocks it.

Becks drops back looking for a leg! Sandoval is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sandoval manages to kick Becks off! Becks jumps back into Sandoval's guard.
Becks trying to control but Sandoval is working from the bottom.

Sandoval working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Becks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Becks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Becks tries to free his leg and advance position but Sandoval is retaining full guard.

Becks in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Becks missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Becks pushing down on Sandoval's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Sandoval moves into full guard.
Sandoval pulls Becks in to control the position.
Becks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sandoval swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Becks throwing strikes but missing.
Becks makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Becks trying to control but Sandoval is working from the bottom.
Sandoval working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Becks.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Becks's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Sandoval is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Becks is trying to get back to full guard.
Becks wants to control but Sandoval is keeping busy.
Sandoval is looking to advance position but Becks won't allow it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sandoval takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Becks wants to get back to full guard.
Sandoval looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Becks is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Still in half guard, Sandoval seems content to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sandoval wants to take a breather but Becks is having none of it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Sandoval connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Becks is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Sandoval.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sandoval. Becks does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sandoval stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sandoval wants it to stay on the feet.
Sandoval throws a jab but it's blocked by Becks.
Sandoval getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sandoval tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Danga de danga de dang - Sandoval scores with a four punch combination!
Becks takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Becks wants to clinch up but Sandoval keeps it at a distance.
Sandoval fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Becks manages to avoid it.
Sandoval throws a predictable looking body shot

and Becks counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sandoval won't be happy with that.
The ground and pound from Becks seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bj Becks will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Becks has managed to clinch.

Becks pulls guard successfully.
Sandoval won't allow Becks to sweep him here.
Becks is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Sandoval trying to control but Becks postures up.

Becks is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Becks is working for a kimura but Sandoval is defending it quite comfortably.
Becks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sandoval has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Becks is working away from the top position though.

Becks is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sandoval is just riding it out for now. Becks eventually gives up the hold.

Becks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sandoval is working away from the top position though.

Sandoval is pushing down on Becks's leg trying to pass to half guard. Becks is fighting to maintain full guard but Sandoval has managed to sneak the leg through.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Becks is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
An inside leg kick from Sandoval misses.
Sandoval misses with a wild combination.
Becks slips a straight right by Sandoval.
Becks tries to close the distance and clinch but Sandoval swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sandoval lands a nice shot to the body.
Sandoval jabs Becks right on the nose. Becks blinks but takes it well.
Becks avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Becks tries to clinch there but Sandoval circles away.

Becks gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Sandoval gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Becks.
Becks is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Sandoval is defending well.
Sandoval scores with a hook to the body.
Becks wants to take the fight to the mat but Sandoval manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bj Becks. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Sandoval.
Sandoval working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

Sandoval breaks the clinch.
Sandoval lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Sandoval fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Becks out cold! Brutal finish!
