Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Lokren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lamar Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stevenson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. XV ft. Pusha T- Awesome kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Lamar Stevenson enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Lokren! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lamar Stevenson! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevenson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lamar Stevenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stevenson misses with a head kick.
Lokren defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stevenson. Stevenson shoots and misses and Lokren counters with a single leg into guard. Stevenson didn't expect that. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Stevenson keeping moving, preventing Lokren from controlling successfully. Lokren scoring with punches to the head and body. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lokren's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Stevenson working a defensive guard here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stevenson wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Lokren is now in half guard. Lokren drops an elbow to the side of Stevenson's head. Lokren misses with a head shot. Stevenson uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lokren throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Lokren postures up.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Lokren is in close to Stevenson's body, working some short punches and elbows. Stevenson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Stevenson wants to get back to his feet but Lokren is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Stevenson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lokren won't allow Stevenson to sweep him here. Lokren wants to get up but he can't break Stevenson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Lokren wants to control from the top but Stevenson keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jack Lokren. Stevenson tries to clinch but Lokren moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lokren takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Stevenson misses with a takedown and Lokren counters with a nice double leg into guard. Jack Lokren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lamar Stevenson. Stevenson looks gassed! Lokren loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lokren postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Lokren trying to control but Stevenson is working from the bottom. Lokren is stalling in the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jack Lokren just wasn't active enough. Lokren shoots for a takedown but Stevenson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stevenson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lokren to score an easy takedown into full guard. Lokren throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stevenson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lokren trying to control but Stevenson is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stevenson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lokren counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Lokren performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Lokren not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Stevenson is looking to control Lokren's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Stevenson avoid being mounted? Stevenson wants to get back to his feet. Lokren missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Lokren is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Lokren stops Stevenson from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevenson is refusing to be controlled, as Lokren sits in half guard. Lokren thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stevenson's head. Lokren thows a huge punch but Stevenson dodges it nicely.

Stevenson is breathing heavily. Lokren wants to control from the top but Stevenson keeps moving. Lokren is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stevenson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Stevenson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lokren. Stevenson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Lokren chips away with some ground and pound.

Stevenson throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Stevenson landing strikes from the mount and Lokren is in trouble! Lokren is looking to work some ground and pound but Stevenson has wrist control. Lokren not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Jack Lokren overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stevenson has momentary wrist control but Lokren slips an elbow through the middle. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lokren is looking to take a break and control but Stevenson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
