Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel LaRusso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Szczerek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Szczerek has chosen Sobota feat. chór Montu - Do góry łeb as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tomasz Szczerek! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Szczerek keeps the fight on the outside. Szczerek fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but LaRusso avoids it really well and circles away. LaRusso cracks the inside of Szczerek's front leg. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from LaRusso. Szczerek fails with the takedown. LaRusso pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. LaRusso throws out a loose jab but Szczerek uses good head movement to avoid it. Szczerek looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Szczerek is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and LaRusso defends it well. LaRusso looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Szczerek throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Szczerek is trying to control. LaRusso wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Szczerek prevents LaRusso from standing back up.
Szczerek seems to be working for a kimura but LaRusso defends the submission attempt. Szczerek is sneakily working for an arm triangle but LaRusso sees it coming and defends easily.

LaRusso throws a sloppy head kick and Szczerek moves out of range easily. Szczerek shoots in for a takedown but LaRusso shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. LaRusso throws a head kick that half lands.
LaRusso is looking to land body kicks. Szczerek has a takedown stuffed. Daniel LaRusso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Szczerek will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Daniel LaRusso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomasz Szczerek. LaRusso scores with a kick to the midsection. Szczerek drives through with a takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! That's three minutes gone in the round. Szczerek escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. LaRusso gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Szczerek has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but LaRusso can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Szczerek looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. LaRusso stopping the sweep attempt from Szczerek. LaRusso wanted to stand there but Szczerek had control of the position. Szczerek wants to sweep but no luck. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Szczerek is looking for a triangle here but LaRusso uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
LaRusso stands up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Tomasz Szczerek will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
LaRusso tries to close the distance and clinch but Szczerek swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A clash of legs there as Szczerek blocks the low kick. LaRusso looks to land a body kick but Szczerek moved away. Szczerek shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as LaRusso sprawls well. LaRusso wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Szczerek gets slowly back to his feet. Szczerek shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with LaRusso but LaRusso pushes him off and we're back to square one. Szczerek is trying hard to land a takedown here. LaRusso sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Daniel LaRusso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomasz Szczerek. Szczerek takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

LaRusso then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Szczerek slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Szczerek closes this distance looking for a takedown but LaRusso circles away.

Szczerek shoots in and bounces LaRusso off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Szczerek slips nicely into half guard. Szczerek trying to control the action but LaRusso is working from the bottom. Szczerek is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so LaRusso is just riding it out for now. Szczerek eventually gives up the hold. Daniel LaRusso has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Szczerek wants to lay and pray for a moment but LaRusso keeps working. An elbow from Szczerek crashes against the mat.
Szczerek postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Szczerek is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but LaRusso is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Szczerek misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Szczerek landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Szczerek is trying to get an arm triangle but LaRusso is defending well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Szczerek trying to control the position but LaRusso is working away.
And that's the end of the fight! Tomasz Szczerek comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Szczerek winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
