Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jiri Ahokas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ana Nas! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nas tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nas stuffs the takedown attempt from Ahokas. Ahokas gets slowly back to his feet. Ahokas stuffs the takedown. Nas scores a takedown into full mount! Ahokas is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ahokas regains half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ahokas is looking for a sweep. Nas is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ahokas looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Nas is looking to take a break and control but Ahokas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ahokas wants to get back to full guard but Nas has mounted him! Ahokas sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Nas looks gassed! Ahokas misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Ahokas gets back to full guard.
Ahokas is striking off his back. Nas thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Ahokas tries to get to full guard but Nas has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ahokas actively working from the bottom here. Ahokas manages to get to full guard.
Ahokas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nas is one step ahead there. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ahokas tries to strike from the bottom.
Ahokas throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Ahokas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ahokas is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nas wants to control from the top but Ahokas keeps moving. Nas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ahokas is looking to sinch up a triangle. Nas throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Ahokas's body to avoid the submission. Ahokas has instead reached around Nas's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Ahokas arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
