The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edward throws a shot from downtown. Valquez moves away and avoids it.
Edward swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Edward tests Valquez's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Edward instigates a clinch.

Valquez prevents a body shot from Edward.
Edward scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Edward has a couple of punches blocked by Valquez.
Valquez's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Edward dips a shoulder and cracks Valquez with a mighty uppercut! Valquez falls back against the ropes and Edward unloads with a barrage of strikes! Valquez is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the ropes! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Edward screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Edward!
Ryan Edward spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
