0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonny Jones! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Da Gama moves into the clinch. Da Gama lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Da Gama is working for a submission of some sort.
Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Da Gama pulls his head out easily. Jones is trying to stand back up but Da Gama is controlling him
Da Gama is pressing down on Jones's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jones is holding on for now. Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Da Gama pulls his head out easily. Da Gama decides to return to a standing position. Da Gama fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jones just misses with a punch to the body.

Jones being controlled here momentarily. Jones postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Da Gama is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jones, into his guard. Jones keeping moving, preventing Da Gama from controlling successfully. Da Gama has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jones is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Da Gama has his hands clasped together but Jones extends an breaks Da Gama's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Jones.
