The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses the shot to the body.
Jones rushes Russian and presses him up against the cage.
Russian has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jones is trying to keep an underhook but Russian manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Russian scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Russian stalling.
Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Russian trying to mount his opponent but Jones defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mongoose Russian just wasn't active enough.
Russian has a takedown stuffed.

Russian gets control of Jones's arms and successfully pulls guard. Russian will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Russian might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jones wants to control from the top but Russian keeps moving.
Jones is posturing up here but Russian has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Jones tries to roll out but it's too tight and Jones has to tap! Slick submission there by Russian!
