Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Curtis Ogelsby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dexter Fielding!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fielding tries for a takedown but Ogelsby sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Fielding shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ogelsby as he avoids it easily.
Ogelsby lands a leg kick that knocks Fielding off balance momentarily.
A punch lands to the side of Fielding 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Fielding throws a leg kick but Ogelsby sees it coming and moves out of range.
Fielding takes a kick to the side of the head.
Ogelsby fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fielding.
Ogelsby swats away the attempt to clinch by Fielding.

Ogelsby lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Ogelsby throws a combination. Fielding tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Ogelsby tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ogelsby feints and then cracks Fielding's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fielding down.

and Fielding counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fielding.
Ogelsby is pressed up against the cage. Fielding has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ogelsby down to the mat. Ogelsby avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Curtis Ogelsby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dexter Fielding.

Fielding is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Ogelsby makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Fielding really felt that one!

We're going to have a standup here because Curtis Ogelsby wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Fielding is trying desperately to land a takedown but Ogelsby is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Fielding.

Fielding's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Fielding takes one to the chin there.

Ogelsby feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ogelsby shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Fielding eats them both and turns towards Ogelsby to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fielding throws a looping overhand right but Ogelsby ducks down to avoid it.

Ogelsby fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fielding has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Ogelsby sizes up Fielding with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Ogelsby is looking to take a break and control but Fielding is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Fielding takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fielding stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ogelsby.

Fielding tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ogelsby manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ogelsby, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
